The function of the slurry pump is to transport liquid out, and it plays an important role in the water supply system. Slurry pumps often have some failures during use, and most of these failures are caused by improper use. Below, Shijiazhuang Pansto Pump Industry will summarize some wrong usage methods for your reference.

  1. Overload use. Overload here refers to the fact that the flow rate, pressure, or speed of the water pump exceeds the rated design point when selecting the slurry pump for a long time. These situations may cause the load on the slurry pump to increase, resulting in shortened service life and increased failure rate. Therefore, when using a slurry pump, it is best to use it at the flow rate and lift when selecting the pump. If you need to increase the flow head, you need to re-select the model.
  2. The installation location is inappropriate. Our horizontal slurry pump requires reverse pouring for installation. If the liquid level at the inlet is too low, air will be easily sucked in, causing cavitation. This will not only affect the flow rate, but also cause damage to the slurry pump. So we need to ensure that the liquid level is higher than the inlet of the water pump.
  3. The material density is too high. If the density of the logistics is too high, the flow rate will be reduced, which may easily cause pipe blockage. At this time, the flow rate and head of the water pump will also decrease. And the wear on the slurry pump will be increased.
  4. The material temperature is too high. If the temperature of the slurry is too high, it will vaporize and cause cavitation. We all know the damage caused by cavitation to slurry pumps.
  5. The water inlet pipeline design is unreasonable. For example, the water inlet pipe has too many elbows and the pipe diameter is too small. This situation will increase management losses and cause cavitation.
