On May 1, 1995, Air King Inc. became a reality through the vision of Steve Fisher. Steve had been in the industry his entire professional career, and developed a unique business plan to start his own company. His goal was to provide industry-leading products and service to residential and commercial customers throughout central Illinois.
Steve carefully chose four of the area’s most experienced tradesmen to join his company, and immediately, their plan was put into action. It was a plan which, today, seems simple. Today, Air King Inc. has grown significantly from its humble beginnings and primarily serves four markets: Decatur, Bloomington-Normal, Champaign-Urbana, and Springfield, as well as every rural community in between. Even though the company has grown significantly to 28 qualified and dedicated employees, the founding principles have stayed firmly intact.
