Opening a new way to visit the town of Sita, “Sita’s Odyssey” begins.
According to the concept of the Minister of Transport, Highways and Mass Media, Dr. Bandula Gunawardena, the “Sitawaka Odyssey” luxury tourist train, which was started with the aim of making the Seethawaka area a popular area among local and foreign tourists, started traveling from the Colombo Fort railway station.
A program has been jointly planned with the Western Provincial Tourism Board for tourists traveling on this train traveling from Colombo Fort to Vag to visit a number of places of tourist attraction in the area.
Members of Parliament Mr. Yadamini Gunawardena, Mr. Madhura Withana, Mr. Major Pradeep Undugoda and other local government representatives, officials including the General Manager of Railways, officials of the Ministry and a group of local and foreign tourists also attended the inauguration of the train journey.
